Elk, anyone?

The herd of elk grazing in this field weren’t bothered by our presence. In fact, they became a little (too) friendly!

Smoky Mountain Elk

A few elk were grazing in a meadow just past the visitor center.

Water interest

Streams with small rocky waterfalls were plentiful, even in the campground we stayed in, just outside the Smoky Mountains National Park land.

Turkey, anyone?
